Poll Worker Training
Training is provided for all poll workers prior to each election. Poll workers receive between one and two hours of training for each election. Training provides poll workers a chance to see an overview of the entire election process and to ask questions related to each specific election.
Poll workers are also provided an Inspector Notebook at their polling place which gives detailed instructions of their responsibilities when working an election. It covers the basics, such as setting up the polling place, assembling voting booths, processing voters, and closing the polls. The notebook also covers the specifics of handling problems or questions that may occur during election day. The Inspector Notebook is available to poll workers to download approximately 30 days prior to each election.
